An Evening Under the Oaks Raises $78,000 for Oak Grove Center http://www.pearpr.com/blogpost-76528/Ogc-Euo-Post-Event.html Over 400 people attended An Evening Under the Oaks benefitting Oak Grove Center on Saturday, May 5, netting over $78,000 in funds for the non-profit. The organization plans to use the funds to continue the build their new gym/multipurpose room, as well as supporting their autism programs.

"An Evening Under the Oaks is always a successful fundraiser for Oak Grove, but this year far outweighs years past," exclaims Tammy Wilson, CEO. "With our gym under construction and scheduled to open this year, we really needed to knock this one out of the ballpark. Budget cuts and the economy have been challenging, but thanks to the support of so many businesses and individuals, we reached our fundraising goals."

Each year, Oak Grove Center announces the winner of the Big Oak Award at An Evening Under the Oaks. This honor is given to one business or individual who has made a tremendous impact on children. This year, the award went to Todd and Christine Close with Murrieta Development Company. The couple and their business have taken a lead role in the building of the new gymnasium on the Oak Grove Murrieta campus. In 2008, they were an integral part of building four separate classrooms so that Oak Grove could accommodate a growing number of students with autism and other developmental disabilities. "We are so thankful for Todd and Christine and the legacy they are building," states Wilson. "Because of their generosity we were able to add autism services and now a gym to better meet the needs of the youth we serve."

Bel Vino Names New General Manager http://www.pearpr.com/blogpost-71857/Bv-Names-New-Gm.html Bel Vino Winery in Southern California Wine Country continues to grow and transform. Formerly Stuart Cellars, the full service winery is planning to implement a complete facelift. In order to manage the daily operations, owner Mike Janko appointed Gregg Vranek to the General Manager position.

In his executive position, Vranek will oversee daily winery operations and help manage construction projects. Janko states that "Gregg's experiences and knowledge in business, finance and sales are much like mine. Not only is he a great friend, he is someone that I trust will make the right decisions for the growth of Bel Vino."

Born and raised in the Midwest, Vranek grew up near Chicago in Oakbrook, IL. His background in real estate, mortgage and finance, have led him to Hawaii, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and now, California. He looks forward to learning all about the wine industry and serving his local community. Vranek will continue to participate in organizations including The Muscular Dystrophy Association and Angel Benefit for Children's Last Wishes.

Over the next eighteen months, and depending upon regulatory timetables, Bel Vino's exterior will transform into a structure much like an Italian villa. A large outdoor patio will be a welcome addition, and extensive changes to the landscaping will lend more space for weddings and special events. Known for their breathtaking view of Temecula wine country, Bel Vino will continue to exist as a quaint getaway for local residents, tourists and event-goers alike. A house situated next to the winery will be renovated as a rental for everything from one day affairs, to extended stays for out-of-town guests. Finally, the existing wedding venues on the property will be extensively upgraded.

Bel Vino will remain open daily from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Country at the Merc & Temecula Live! Present Scott Southworth http://www.pearpr.com/blogpost-70956/Ogc---Scott-Southworth.html "I like pie" is stated twice in his bio, but Scott Southworth has much more to boast about in the country music world. In just a few short days, this singer, songwriter and host of "The Music Row Show" will arrive in Temecula to support Oak Grove Center for Education, Treatment & The Arts and the West Coast Country Music Association.

Southworth will open Temecula Live!, Southern California's only country music review show. His performance will kick off the first of three shows on Friday, January 27 at 7 p.m. at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. Immediately after his performance, he also will host a private concert in the Merc. Tickets to the private concert are $15 and will benefit the West Coast Country Music Association, the agency responsible for Scott's appearances.

Songwriters will enjoy an intimate workshop that will serve as a forum for questions and demonstrations by Southworth on Saturday, January 28 at 10 a.m., also at the Merc. Tickets to the songwriter's workshop are $20. A discount is offered for members of the West Coast Country Music Association.

"We are so blessed to have Scott and his in-depth knowledge of country music and songwriting at this event," boasts Gwyn Sanborn, President of the West Coast Country Music Association and Co-Producer of Temecula Live! "Scott has a wealth of knowledge that young songwriters will find helpful in their quest for stardom."

Southworth's biography really does say he likes pie, twice. It also includes a weekly radio talk show wherein he and his partner, Heino, interview and showcase industry professionals who have made a successful career in music, either on the business or creative side. He has also written several Indie songs for performers like Emma Jacobs, Stephanie Layne, Bob Karwin, Becky Blackaby, Tom Templeman and Damian Follet. Far before his Nashville days, Scott lived in Southern California and played with the award-winning Ranch Rockers, the Temecula Live! house band.

The Temecula Live! line-up includes local favorites like Taylor Tickner, Chris Reed, Tara Honda, Kaitlyn Weathers, the Oak Grove Center Performance Team and The Brewer Boys.

Temecula Live! show times are Friday, January 27 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, January 28 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets for Temecula Live! are $22 per show ($20 for seniors and military) and are available at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater.
